Boys state basketball — Clear Lake faces ADM in 3A semifinals this morning — scores & schedule
DES MOINES — The Clear Lake boys basketball team plays in the semifinal round of the boys state basketball tournament for the second time in school history later this morning as they face 5th-seeded Adel-DeSoto-Minburn. The Lions won their school-record 25th game of the season on Monday, advancing with a 57-34 win over Central DeWitt in the quarterfinals. ADM is now 22-4 after holding off 4th-seed Storm Lake 59-53 to advance. Clear Lake and ADM met earlier in the season in a game played at Wells Fargo Arena on January 3rd. The Lions jumped out to a 24-15 lead after the first quarter and then later utilized a 25-11 third quarter on their way to a 78-62 victory. The Tigers are led by junior Hudson Lorensen, who averages almost 24-and-a-half points per game.
