Mason City woman faces meth dealing charge

MASON CITY — A Mason City woman has been arrested on a meth dealing charge.
A criminal complaint filed in Cerro Gordo County District Court accuses 38-year-old Keyanna Garrett of knowingly and unlawfully possessing a white crystal substance resembling meth with the intent to deliver. The complaint says Garrett possessed about 9.78 grams of the substance and several small baggies commonly used to sell meth.
Garrett is also accused of possessing marijuana after being previously convicted of marijuana possession back in 2023.
Garrett has been charged with: a Class B felony-level controlled substance violation; one count of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; as well as possession of marijuana second offense, a serious misdemeanor. She’s due in court for her preliminary hearing on March 25th.
Garrett is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a total of $35,000 cash-only bond.
