Hinson says there should be more modern way for senior national security officials to communicate in real time

WASHINGTON — North-central Iowa congresswoman Ashley Hinson says while mistakes appear to have been made with the Signal chat among senior national security officials discussing the upcoming attacks against Yemen’s Houthis, she believes there can be a better way for those types of communications to be made.

During a conference call with reporters this morning, Hinson says better technology should be utilized.  “There should be a more modern way for our senior national security officials to be able to communicate in real time. I do think there were mistakes here, but I want to be real that I think some in the media and some in the Democrat Party are more upset about this then when 13 Americans died because of the Biden Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

Hinson says the issue needs to be addressed and the White House continues to look into it.  “The administration is investigating how this happened. I want to make sure that there are necessary precautions and procedures put in place so that we can ensure that sensitive information is not shared with unauthorized individuals on unauthorized channels.”

Hinson says the most important part was that the Trump Administration successfully killed terrorists and that we’re protecting our economic interests abroad.
