Patricia (Pat) Haugen, 78, of Clear Lake

Patricia (Pat) Haugen, 78, of Clear Lake, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 6,
2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend
whose quick wit, warm heart, and loyal spirit touched the lives of many.
A celebration of life will be held with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may
be directed to the family.
Pat was born on June 27, 1946, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Allen and Mary (Manges) Juhl. Her
family later moved to Medford, Minnesota, where she graduated from high school before
continuing her education and earning her college degree in Mankato.
Pat married Steve Dyre, and together they had three children. They divorced, and later in life,
she married Myron “Snooks” Haugen in October of 1987. Together, they shared a love of fishing
at the Ventura Grade and always enjoyed a trip to Diamond Joe Casino for lunch and
entertainment.
A familiar face in the Clear Lake community, Pat worked for several years as the evening
bartender at the Golden Goose before becoming the daytime bartender at The Half Moon,
where she welcomed regulars and newcomers alike for over 30 years. She had a gift for making
people feel at home.
Pat loved playing Bingo at the Clear Lake VFW with her great friend, Kirby, and she was always
convincing others to come along for the fun. She also enjoyed daily drives with her beloved fur
baby, Mila, especially if it meant picking up a lottery ticket or two.
She will be remembered for her strong spirit, generous heart, and the many friendships she built
along the way.
Pat will be deeply missed her children, Richard (Lori) Dyre of Muscatine, IA, and Michelle (Mick)
Brown of Mason City; grandchildren, Dustin Olinger, Tauni Dyre, Michael Miller, Maleah Tucker
(Brad Roenfeld), Peyton Tucker, Kaitlyn (Tyson) Foglesong and Mack Bertoni; great
grandchildren, Rylee, Damion, Lastat, Lily, Tinsley and Wyatt; her sisters, Bonnie (Kenny) Olson
and Kathie Busche; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to
mention Donna Powers, who she loved like a daughter and friends that meant so much; Linda,
Mel, Kirby and Diana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Myron; younger brother, Mike Juhl and
son, Troy.
A special thank you to St. Croix Hospice for the care Pat received.
