High school track from Tuesday April 15th — Clear Lake boys win own invite, Lions girls second in Algona

CLEAR LAKE — Clear Lake won their own Clear Lake Boys Track Invitational on Tuesday at Lions Field. Clear Lake picked up wins in eight events and accumulated 202 points. Algona was second with 160 points while Forest City was third with 122. Winners were: Cooper Cooke in the 110 hurdles; Isaac Smith in the 200; Sam Howland in the high jump; Sam Dodge in the long jump; and the Lions won four relays, taking the 4×100, 4×200, sprint medley and shuttle hurdle. ALGONA — Clear Lake finished second in the Hannover Relays girls track meet at Algona High School on Tuesday. The Lions had 105 points, with host Algona winning the team title with 131 points. Reese Brownlee won two events for Clear Lake with the 400 and long jump, with her teammates Ella Landau finishing second in the long jump and Saylor Schmitt finishing second in the 400. The Lions also picked up relay wins in the 4×100 and 4×400. You can see full results by clicking here
