Severe weather a possibility later today

MASON CITY — There’s a chance for severe weather across our listening area late this afternoon into the evening.

The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center says there’s a “Slight Risk” for severe weather for our entire listening area. The main threat will be very large hail, but damaging winds and a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
