DES MOINES — Reese Brownlee is a two-time Drake Relays champion. The Clear Lake senior captured the girls high school long jump competition with her third jump of the competition, a leap of 18 feet-10 inches, besting Abby Mecklenburg of Linn-Mar by a quarter inch for the title.
Looking at the results of other area high school athletes participating in the Drake Relays on Thursday:
== Charlee Morton of Hampton-Dumont-CAL finished second in the girls discus with a throw of 149 feet-4 inches. Delilah Subsin of Ottumwa won the competition with a throw of 156-9
== Triston Brandsoy of Forest City finished sixth in the boys shot put with a throw of 55 feet-4 inches.
== Sam Dodge of Clear Lake finished 14th in the boys long jump with a leap of 20 feet-6.25 inches.
