Drake Relays recap — Clear Lake’s Brownlee wins three titles

DES MOINES — Reese Brownlee won three events at the Drake Relays in Des Moines. After winning her second-straight long jump title on Thursday, Brownlee won the 400 on Friday and then took the 400 hurdles on Saturday. She was also part of the sprint medley relay team that finished second.  Brownlee becomes only the second female to ever win three Drake Relays titles in a single meet, joining Olympian Shelby Houlihan with that distinction.

Looking at how other high school athletes from the area did over the weekend at the Drake Relays:

== Charlee Morton of Hampton-Dumont-CAL won the shot put title with a throw of 46 feet-9 ¼ inches. Clear Lake’s Taylor Schwenn finished 14th.

== The Clear Lake boys 4×200 relay team of Blake Enke, Jaxson McIntire, Liam Smith and Alex Kerr finished 21st
