Major severe weather misses north-central Iowa, but hail reported in several locations across area

MASON CITY — No major damage was reported as severe weather rolled through our listening area last night.

The largest hail reported was six miles northwest of Garner in Hancock County with 1.75 inch-sized hail. Inch-sized hail was reported near Garner, Ventura, Buffalo Center, Wesley and Osage.

Things weather-wise should be more calm over the next few days as scattered non-severe thunderstorms will return to the forecast Wednesday into Thursday, but severe weather is not anticipated.
