Forest City man pleads guilty to federal meth distribution charge

SIOUX CITY — A Forest City man has pleaded guilty to a federal methamphetamine distribution charge.
31-year-old Andrew Frazee made the plea to one count of conspiracy to distribute over a pound of meth in federal court in Sioux City on Thursday.
The US Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa’s office says at the plea hearing, Frazee admitted that in November of last year, he and others conspired to distribute over a pound of meth in and around Hancock County.
Evidence showed that on November 19th, law enforcement observed Frazee and his vehicle in a ditch in rural Hancock County. When contacted by law enforcement, Frazee exhibited signs of impairment and deputies noticed a marijuana small.
A search of the vehicle found about 325 grams of meth, a smoking device, over $1200 in cash, a scale, and marijuana. Frazee admitted to recently buying large quantities of meth and distributing to others.
Frazee faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years, a $10 million fine, and at least five years of supervised release when he’s sentenced at a later date.
