High school golf recap from Monday May 5th

RIVERSIDE — Clear Lake finished second at the Washington Boys Golf Invitational at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Riverside on Monday. Waverly-Shell Rock won the team title with a 308, with the Lions seven shots back in the 18-team tournament. Clear Lake travels to Fort Dodge this afternoon for a North Central Conference triangular with St. Edmond and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows. The Lions then host “The Elite Showdown” on Friday at the Legacy Golf Course at the 19 in Mason City

SPENCER — Mason City finished 7th at the Spencer Girls Golf Invitational on Monday. Spencer won the team title with 374, Algona was second with 398, with the Riverhawks finishing with a 456. Blair Smith had the low Mason City score with a 112.
