Mason City High finishes fourth at IAC girls track meet, boys finish seventh

FORT DODGE — The Mason City High girls finished fourth as a team at the Iowa Alliance Conference track meet in Fort Dodge last night. Ames won the team title with 179 points, Des Moines Roosevelt was second with 127 ½. Mason City had 72 team points. For the Riverhawks, their only victory on the night was in the 800 Medley Relay with a winning time of 1:54.76. Finishing second were Savannah Davis in the 400, Janae Hansen in the 800, Zaria Falls in the shot put, and the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. See the full results by clicking here
OTTUMWA — Mason City finished seventh at the Iowa Alliance Conference boys track meet in Ottumwa on Tuesday. The Riverhawks had 53 points. Des Moines Roosevelt won the team title with 156 1/2 , Ames was the runner-up with 137 points. Mason City did not have a victory in any of the events but had a couple of second-place finishes. Ty Sanchez-Evans finished second in the discus, while the 4×200 relay team also was a runner-up. You can see the full results by clicking here
