Former Crystal Lake man sentenced to ten years in prison on lascivious acts charge

GARNER — It’s ten years in prison for a former Crystal Lake man accused of sexual abuse.
34-year-old Napoleon Campos, who now lists his address as Ankeny, was originally charged with four counts of third-degree sexual abuse of a child victim, each charge a Class C felony punishable by up to ten years in prison. A criminal complaint stated that Campos between March 2022 and March 2024 committed multiple sexual acts with an underage girl as well as showed her pornographic material more than once.
As part of a plea agreement, Campos pleaded guilty to one count of lascivious acts with a minor, also a Class C felony, with prosecutors recommending a ten year prison sentence. District Judge Blake Norman agreed with that recommendation during a sentencing hearing held Tuesday in Hancock County District Court.
