Mason City man who faces sexual abuse charges in Cerro Gordo, Worth counties pleads not guilty

MASON CITY — A Mason City man facing sexual abuse charges in both Cerro Gordo and Worth counties has pleaded not guilty.
34-year-old Jeremiah Estrada back in March pleaded not guilty in Cerro Gordo County District Court to continuous sexual abuse of a child, a Class B felony, after being accused of engaging in three or more acts of sexual abuse between March 1st of last year and February of this year.
Earlier this week, he filed not guilty pleas to three counts of second-degree sexual abuse, also Class B felonies, after he was accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 13 in rural St. Ansgar between 2016 and 2024.
Estrada’s trial in Cerro Gordo County is scheduled to start on June 17th while his Worth County trial is scheduled for a July 9th start.
Estrada is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $25,000 cash-only bond.
