BOONE — The NIACC women’s golf team is in ninth place after the second day of the NJCAA Division II national championship at the Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone. NIACC shot a 355 on Wednesday and slipped three places from sixth place with a two-day total of 691. Shelton State of Alabama remained the team leader with a two-day total of 615, Mesa Arizona Community College is second with 634, while Iowa Central is third with 657. NIACC freshman Megan DeLong has a two-day total of 161, which is tied for 17th in the individual medalist competition.
