Connie Kay Ackley, 79, of Mason City,

Connie Kay Ackley, 79, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at
Good Shepherd Health Care Center.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore
Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, Iowa with Pastor Kent A. Mechler from
Good Shepherd officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service beginning at
10:00 AM.

Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, Iowa will be held at a later date.

Connie was born on May 9, 1946, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Julia
(Koshmeder) Muller. She graduated from Osage High School and went on to attend
NIACC for two years before earning a certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling.

A proud and devoted mother to three daughters, Connie raised and supported them on her
own. She often worked three jobs while caring for them, showing strength and
determination every step of the way. Over the years, she held a variety of jobs, but the
ones she loved most were those that involved helping individuals with disabilities. She
found joy and purpose in serving others. Even in retirement, she continued giving back
by volunteering at the Mason City Cancer Center.

In her free time, Connie enjoyed gardening, especially caring for her flowers. She was an
avid reader and loved to travel whenever the opportunity arose. Animals held a special
place in her heart, and she always cherished the companionship of the family dog,
whichever one they had at the time.

Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, and she never passed up a chance to treat
herself or those she loved. Most of all, Connie treasured time spent with her children and
grandchildren. She was deeply proud to be both a mother and a grandmother.

She was also a longtime member of Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown, Iowa, where
her faith remained an important part of her life.

Those left to cherish memories of Connie are her children, Pam (Mark) Maness, Tammy
Pell, and Shelly Pell all of Mason City, Iowa; great grandsons, Xander and Connor
Rawlings of Austin, Texas; brother, Terry Muller; sister-in-law, Judy Muller; several
nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Neil Ackley; granddaughter, Chelsea
Bierbrodt Rawlings; and her brother, Robert “Bob” Muller Sr.

Connie’s family wants to give a special thanks to the staff of St. Croix Hospice and Good
Shepherd for their care and compassion during this time.
