Preliminary hearing set for Hampton man charged with attempted murder

HAMPTON — The preliminary hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow for a Hampton man charged with attempted murder.

22-year-old Isidoro Moreno Montalvo was arrested last week after a stabbing back on May 24th. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of 8th Southwest in Hampton where they found one male victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to Franklin General Hospital and then air lifted to Mercy North Iowa in Mason City for further treatment.

Moreno Montalvo was arrested and taken to the Hardin County Jail, where he’s being held on $50,000 cash-only bond. If convicted of attempted murder, a Class B felony, Moreno Montalvo would face up to 25 years in prison.
