Four arrested after Mason City gun shop burglary

MASON CITY — Four people have been arrested after a burglary at a Mason City gun shop.

Police Chief Jeff Brinkley says police responded to a burglar alarm at about 1:25 on Friday morning at Hart Brothers at 613 South Federal, where they found the front door open on arrival. Officers found a smashed display case that was missing several weapons. As part of the investigation, search warrants were obtained for four Mason City residences and two vehicles, with seven handguns being recovered, six of which were stolen in the burglary.

Charged were:

== 18-year-old LaDanian Pannhoff of Mason City, who was charged with fourth-degree theft and trafficking stolen weapons

== 19-year-old Parker Thompson of Mason City, who was charged with trafficking stolen weapons and conspiracy to commit non-forcible felony

== 19-year-old Dayce Nixon, who was charged with trafficking stolen weapons

== and an unnamed 17-year-old, who was charged with third-degree burglary and trafficking stolen weapons
