City of Clear Lake to start spraying for mosquitoes

CLEAR LAKE — The City of Clear Lake is preparing for their first spraying for mosquitoes.

The city says they will spray when it’s determined to be necessary, with spraying tentatively occurring between Monday evening and Saturday morning, but may also happen on Saturday evening or Sunday depending on the weather.

Staff will spray between 7:00 PM and continue as long as temperatures and wind speeds are at acceptable levels. Spraying may resume in the morning at 4:00 AM and end at about 7:00 AM.

Spraying will continue throughout the summer and fall as long as mosquito population counts justify the spraying.

Anyone not wanting the spraying to occur on their property must contact Public Works Director Jeremy Korenberg at 357-6135 or via email at jkorenberg@cityofclearlake.org
