MASON CITY — A pair of Mason City men have pleaded not guilty to a robbery charge.
A criminal complaint states that shortly after 6 o’clock on the evening of May 26th, 35-year-old Harold Stinnett and 31-year-old Jacob Mills allegedly assaulted and took money from a victim in the 200 block of 5th Northeast. The assault resulted in serious injuries to the victim, which consisted of multiple lacerations to the victim’s head and face.
Both men have been charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
They were due in Cerro Gordo County District Court for their arraignment hearings on Monday, but court records show that both have filed not guilty pleas. Their trials are scheduled to start on August 12th.
