Lieutenant Governor Cournoyer endorses Feenstra for governor

DES MOINES — Iowa’s Lieutenant Governor has endorsed Randy Feenstra for the Republican nomination for governor in 2026.

Chris Cournoyer released a written statement today, showing her support for Feenstra, who currently serves Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District in the United States House. Cournoyer says Feenstra is a champion for Iowa values of fiscal responsibility, defending life, and supporting farmers and rural communities.

Cournoyer says she along with Feenstra both voted for tax cuts, increased government efficiency and accountability while they both served in the Iowa Senate.

Cournoyer, who was appointed as Lieutenant Governor last December after former Lt. Governor Adam Gregg resigned, announced in May that she would be running for State Auditor in 2026.
