Garner woman sentenced to 15 years in prison on meth, forgery, child endangerment charges

GARNER — One member of a Garner couple accused of ongoing criminal conduct and drug charges has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
43-year-old Alisa Jones was charged with one count of ongoing criminal conduct, one count of intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine, unauthorized use of a credit card, forgery, and four counts of child endangerment. Her boyfriend, 41-year-old Ricco Riley, is facing similar and additional charges.
Jones was accused of: committing forgery by stealing credit card information and using the victim’s information to make purchases on multiple occasions earlier this year; forging a check from the Little Lambs Preschool in Garner, altering it, and making it appear to have been written out to Riley, who then attempted to cash it; having meth be found in their home when Garner police executed a search warrant on March 7th; and multiple child endangerment charges.
Jones as part of a plea agreement in May pleaded guilty to intent to deliver meth as an habitual offender, a Class C felony; forgery, a Class D felony; and child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. District Judge Rustin Davenport this week sentenced Jones to 15 years on the meth and forgery charges and two years on the child endangerment charge, with the sentences to be served at the same time.
Riley is facing additional drug charges and is scheduled to be tried on August 20th.
