Plymouth man dead after two-vehicle accident in northern Cerro Gordo County

PLYMOUTH — A Plymouth man is dead after a two vehicle accident just south of Manly in Cerro Gordo County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened shortly before 9:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of US Highway 65 and 330th Street, or County Road B-15. A vehicle driven by 85-year-old Joseph Costello of Plymouth was eastbound on B-15 when it drove through the intersection at US Highway 65 and was struck by a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Valinda Imus of Northwood.
The State Patrol says Costello died of his injuries sustained in the accident.
A passenger in his vehicle, 83-year-old Carol Costello of Plymouth, as well as Imus and a passenger in her vehicle, 30-year-old Deandre Harvey of Fort Dodge, were all taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City for treatment.
The State Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.
