Mason City house fire remains under investigation

MASON CITY — A fire in Mason City Thursday morning has displaced the residents of a home.

The Mason City Fire Department says they were called shortly after 10 o’clock to a report of a house fire with attached garage at 160 15th Northwest. Firefighters arrived finding smoke coming from a breezeway that connected the house and the garage.

The fire was quickly extinguished but the Fire Department remained on the scene until 1:00 PM.

No injuries were reported with the incident. The Fire Department says the residents  were displaced from the home.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
