St. Ansgar man dead after collision with train near Mitchell

MITCHELL — A St. Ansgar man is dead after his vehicle collided with a train near the town of Mitchell on Wednesday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Kenneth Warrington was northbound on Indigo Avenue at about 10:15 AM when he failed to yield to a train at a railroad crossing and was struck broadside on the driver’s side.
Warrington was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The State Patrol was assisted by Osage First Responders and EMS.
