Mason City man accused of firing shots at Clear Lake home pleads guilty to reduced charges

CLEAR LAKE — The sentencing date has been scheduled for a Mason City man accused of firing shots at an occupied Clear Lake home.
33-year-old Dylan Mitchell was charged with two counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure or provoke fear, a Class C felony, as well as two counts of first-degree harassment after Clear Lake police stated in a criminal complaint that they had obtained video and physical evidence that Mitchell fired six shots at an occupied home in the 500 block of North Shore Drive on the night of June 27th of last year.
Mitchell entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors last week, pleading guilty to two counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a Class D felony. Prosecutors will recommend suspended five-year prison terms when he is sentenced on September 2nd.
