Three area players chosen for Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Series this weekend

DES MOINES — A couple of area players have been selected to participate in the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Series starting Thursday in metro Des Moines.

Playing for the Small Schools East squad will be Jayce Schwiesow of St. Ansgar, Gage Peterson of Newman, and Maddox Cockrum of Osage.

St. Ansgar head coach Devin Schwiesow will also be one of the four coaches for the Small Schools East team.

The All-Star Series will be played on Thursday and Friday at Ankeny High School and then shift to Urbandale High School on Saturday.
