DNR schedules open house to discuss proposed improvements to McIntosh Woods State Park

VENTURA — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has planned an open house to discuss upcoming improvements proposed for McIntosh Woods State Park near Ventura.

The DNR says planned enhancements at the park include the addition of 50-amp electrical service, new water lines, full hookups at all sites, a new shower building, ADA accessible sites, and improvements to parking, roads and campsites.

The event will take place on Tuesday September 9th from 6:00-7:30 PM at the Ventura Community Center, with DNR staff being available to answer questions in a “come-and-go” format.
