MASON CITY — No arrests appear to have been made after a shooting in northeast Mason City over the weekend.
The Mason City Police Department and Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting shortly before the noon hour on Sunday in the 800 block of North Delaware. Authorities at the scene indicated that one person transported themselves to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for treatment of a non-life-threatening wound that was suffered after a fight escalated into a shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
