NIACC roundup — Volleyball splits four matches at Siouxland Invite; men’s soccer wins, women’s soccer loses against St. Charles

NORTH SIOUX CITY SOUTH DAKOTA — The NIACC volleyball team won two and lost two at the Siouxland Invitational over the weekend. NIACC on Friday topped the North Dakota State College of Science three sets to two and Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range 3-0. On Saturday, NIACC fell to Labette Community College 3-2 and Highland Kansas Community College 3-0. NIACC is now 6-3 overall and will have their home opener Wednesday night facing Western Iowa Tech.
MASON CITY — The NIACC men’s soccer team picked up a 2-0 non-conference win on Monday over St. Charles Community College. Noah Ruiz scored for the Trojans in the 72nd minute followed by a goal from Kobi Jones in the 89th minute. NIACC is now 3-0-1 on the season and will return to action on Friday at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park Kansas. The NIACC women’s soccer team fell to St. Charles 4-0 on Monday. NIACC drops to 1-2-2 and will return to action on Sunday with a home non-conference match with Anoka-Ramsey.
