Mason City High boys golf tie for 9th at Fort Dodge Invitational

FORT DODGE — The Mason City High boys golf team finished tied for ninth at the Fort Dodge Invitational on Tuesday.

Waukee Northwest won the team title with a 292, two shots better than Dallas Center-Grimes. Mason City was 27 shots back with a 319.

Michael Solberg-Maas and Nathan Berkley had the Riverhawks’ best scores with three-over 74s, tying for eighth place. Jackson Buchanan fired a two-under 69 to take home the medalist honors.

Mason City turns right around and travels to the Ankeny Invite at Otter Creek later this morning.
