Helene F. Wallace, 86, of Mason City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, surrounded by those she loved, after a courageous battle with cancer.
In keeping with her wishes, Helene has generously donated her body to Mayo Clinic, and no services will be held at this time. Memorials may be directed to MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in her honor.
Helene was born on October 19, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Eugene C. and Mary L. (Keene) Wallace.
She is survived by the love of her life, Kathleen “Kay” Schock, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years; her sister, Jeanne (David) Bernhardt; nephews and niece, Douglas (Afroza) Bernhardt, Daniel (Tee) Bernhardt, and Julie Bernhardt; four great-nieces and nephews; along with cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
