Mason City woman accused of stealing money from dependent adult

MASON CITY — The preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Mason City woman charged with stealing money from a dependent adult.

A criminal complaint filed in Cerro Gordo County District Court accuses 26-year-old Angel Mannetter of stealing about $2250 from the victim between June of last year and January of this year. Mannetter is the victim’s payee, and Mannetter is accused of taking money to use for personal needs. The complaint says Mannetter has admitted to committing the crime.

Mannetter is accused of ongoing criminal conduct, a Class B felony, as well as second-degree theft, a Class D felony.

Mannetter is due back in court for her preliminary hearing on September 29th.
