Hit-and-run involving golf cart and pickup being investigated near Nora Springs

NORA SPRINGS — Cerro Gordo County authorities are continuing their investigation into a hit-and-run accident on Friday evening involving a golf cart and a pickup.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says they were dispatched at about 7:45 PM to the Greenbelt County Park located near Nora Springs, where a collision had taken place between a golf cart and an unknown model of a pickup.
Tom Faught of Mason City was the driver of the golf cart and suffered minor leg injuries, while the passenger, Darlene Faught of Mason City, sustained a possible broken wrist. Both were taken to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City for treatment.
The driver of the pickup left the scene of the accident and was not located.
