Mason City woman in jail on drug charges after traffic stop

CLEAR LAKE — A Mason City woman is in jail on drug charges after being stopped by law enforcement earlier this morning.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says at about 1:11 AM, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of State Highway 122 and North 40th Street in Clear Lake. After an investigation at the scene, 44-year-old Jamie Daniels was allegedly found to be in possession of about five ounces of methamphetamine, a user amount of fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.
Daniels has been charged with: one count of possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver meth over five grams, a Class B felony; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; as well as possession of a controlled substance first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Sheriff’s Office says the case is still under investigation.
Daniels is in jail on a total of $6300 bond.
