Allison native who currently serves as the Greene County Attorney announces US Senate run as a Libertarian

JEFFERSON — A Butler County native who currently serves as the Greene County Attorney is planning to run for the United States Senate as a Libertarian.
Thomas Laehn was raised in the town of Allison, where his father was a Lutheran minister and his mother was the school librarian.
Laehn as part of his announcement says Iowans are ready for someone outside of the current two-party system who will push back against executive overreach.
Laehn is the first Libertarian Party candidate to win a partisan election in Iowa.
He will formally kick off his campaign for one of Iowa’s US Senate seats at an event in Des Moines this weekend.
