High school roundup for Monday October 6 — Mason City High boys golf at district tournament, Lake Mills cross country, volleyball scores

FORT DODGE — The Mason City High boys golf team finished eighth at the 4A district tournament in Fort Dodge on Monday. Johnston won the team title shooting a 283, Waukee Northwest was second one shot behind, while Dallas Center-Grimes was third with a 298. Mason City finished with a score of 321. Nathan Berkley had Mason City’s best finish, placing in a tie for fifth with a 73.

 

LAKE MILLS — The Lake Mills boys and the West Hancock girls won the team titles at the Lake Mills Invitational cross country meet on Monday at the Rice Lake Golf and Country Club. On the boys side, the Bulldogs had three in the top eight as they won with 39 points. West Hancock was second with 46, followed by North Butler with 51. Knute Rogne of Lake Mills won the boys race in a time of 16:05. On the girls side, West Hancock won the team title with 31 points, Lake Mills was second with 41 while Hampton-Dumont-CAL was third with 59. Ivy Urbatsch of Northwood-Kensett won the girls race in 19:41. You can see the full results by clicking here
