NIACC volleyball tops Iowa Lakes

MASON CITY — The NIACC volleyball team picked up a three sets to one win over Iowa Lakes in an Iowa Community College Athletic Conference contest last night at the campus gym.
The Trojans took the opening set 25-11, dropped set two 25-14, then won 25-15 and 25-23.
NIACC was led by freshman Jocelynn Coleman with 11 kills, three blocks and two digs. Sophomore Megan Tobin had 10 kills and four blocks, freshman Brielle Volker had eight kills, eight digs and one ace serve and sophomore Hannah Brinkman had seven kills, six ace serves and one block.
NIACC improves to 12-12 overall and 3-5 in the conference. They’ll return to action next Wednesday when they travel to Cedar Rapids to face 4th-ranked Kirkwood.
