Minnesota woman arrested on drug charges after Charles City traffic stop

CHARLES CITY — A Minnesota woman has been arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Floyd County.
The Charles City Police Department says in a criminal complaint that they pulled over 57-year-old Denise Tipton of Waseca at about 12:45 on the morning on October 9th in the 1300 block of Gilbert Street for a taillight that was not working. The department’s K-9 unit was deployed and had a positive alert on the vehicle. During a search, police say they recovered one clear baggie with 9.24 grams of methamphetamine along with several small baggies and a scale.
Tipton was charged with possession with the intent to deliver meth, a Class B felony.
She was being held in the Floyd County Jail on a total of $25,000 cash-only bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 17th.
