Mason City woman pleads not guilty to meth charges

MASON CITY — A Mason City arrested earlier this month on methamphetamine-related charges has pleaded not guilty.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says at about 1:11 AM on October 3rd, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of State Highway 122 and North 40th Street in Clear Lake. After an investigation at the scene, 44-year-old Jamie Daniels was allegedly found to be in possession of about five ounces of methamphetamine, a user amount of fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.

Daniels has been charged with: one count of possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver meth over five grams, a Class B felony; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; as well as possession of a controlled substance first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Daniels was due in court for her arraignment hearing today, but she filed a written plea of not guilty recently in Cerro Gordo County District Court. Her trial has been scheduled to start on December 2nd.
