Several area athletes competing in state cross country meet Friday and Saturday

FORT DODGE — The state cross country meet will be held today and tomorrow at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge, with Class 2A and 3A races today and 4A and 1A tomorrow. Looking at area participants:

== 1A girls — Alexis Mujica, Newman; Lauren Hillesland & Ava Meinders, North Iowa; Ivy Urbatsch, Northwood-Kensett; Ava Witt, St. Ansgar; Makenna Dick, West Fork

== 2A girls — Forest City qualified as a team; Scarlett Byrnes, Osage; Nichole Larson, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura

== 3A girls — Saylor Schmitt, Clear Lake

== 4A girls — Brogan Evans & Leah Dykstra, Mason City

== 4A boys — Henry Hansen, Mason City

== 2A boys — Forest City qualified as a team; individuals — Kade Tabbert, Central Springs; Jonah Pringnitz & Jonathan Schuknecht, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura

== 1A boys — Lake Mills & North Butler qualified as a team; Dan Spooner, Newman; Keagan Albertson, Isaiah Collins, & Riley Gauden, West Hancock
