Clear Lake, St. Ansgar, Osage all advance in high school football playoffs

CLEAR LAKE — Clear Lake, St. Ansgar, and Osage are still alive in the high school football playoffs after wins back on Friday night.

Clear Lake pulled away from a 14-0 halftime lead to beat Mount Vernon 41-0 in a Class 3A first round game, as you heard on 103.7 The Fox and saw on northiowanow.com. Clear Lake hosts Nevada in the 3A quarterfinals on Friday night.

Osage beat Hampton-Dumont-CAL 27-7 in a 2A second round game and now will host Alburnett.

St. Ansgar beat West Fork 53-20 in a Class A second round game and will host North Linn on Friday.
