St. Ansgar wins 1A quarterfinal match at state volleyball — results from Tuesday, schedule for today

CORALVILLE — Top-ranked St. Ansgar cruised to a three set victory over East Mills in the Class 1A quarterfinals at the state volleyball tournament on Tuesday in Coralville. The Saints won 25-11, 25-18, and 25-16. Lindsey Kruse led St. Ansgar with 15 kills with Jacey Johnson adding 13. Setter Sofia Parrott had 35 assists, and the Saints tallied 49 digs, paced by Ava Falk’s 12. St. Ansgar advances to play Dunkerton in the semifinals tonight at 6 o’clock.
