St. Ansgar punches ticket into Class 1A state volleyball championship match, faces #2 Janesville tonight for title

CORALVILLE — The St. Ansgar volleyball team is into the Class 1A championship match after winning their semifinal over Dunkerton at the state tournament in Coralville on Wednesday evening. The Saints swept Dunkerton to complete Wednesday’s semifinal round 25-13, 25-19 and 25-22. Lindsay Kruse and Ava Falk led St. Ansgar with 17 kills, with Falk adding 10 digs and Sofia Parrott racking up 39 assists. St. Ansgar will face second-seeded Janesville in tonight’s championship match after Janesville swept North Tama 25-19, 25-19, and 25-14. St. Ansgar beat Janesville earlier this season two sets to one as part of a quadrangular held at Janesville High School.
