MASON CITY — The NIACC wrestling teams opened the dual portion of their schedules last night by sweeping Southeastern Community College at the Recreation Center.
== The NIACC women posted a 47-6 victory with the help of seven forfeits. Lily Powell picked up a pin at 124, Brooklyn Burke had a decision at 131, while Olivia Brown had a technical fall at 138.
== The NIACC men shut out Southeastern 56-0. The Trojans were also helped with seven forfeits, while Alejandro Rodriguez had a major decision at 125, Cory Scanlan had a technical fall at 157, and Nicky Bernard had a tech fall as well as 184.
The NIACC men travel to the Luther College Open on Saturday, while the women will host Iowa Lakes as part of a women’s-men’s doubleheader next Wednesday night.
