A bevy of holiday happenings is scheduled for December 5th in downtown Charles City.
Festivities that Friday night begin with the Holiday Lighted Parade, making its return after being put on hiatus by COVID.
During last week’s City Council meeting, Mark Wicks with Main Street Charles sought approval for street closures for the parade route.
For the fireworks show, the bridge will be closed off to traffic for about an hour before and a half hour after.
Wicks says the parade will last about 15 minutes and after lighting Santa’s Shining Lights in Central Park, the Santa House in the park will also open from 6-7:30 pm.
