Buddy the Elf Learns How Mason City Works: A December Holiday Adventure
Mason City’s favorite elf, Buddy, has arrived in Mason City because Santa heard this is a city full of very nice people doing very important things. His mission: learn what every department does while spreading holiday cheer…and, naturally, possibly getting into a little mischief along the way. Each day he visits a new department or area of Mason City, learns something, and leaves a trail of festive chaos. Citizens are invited to follow along daily to see Mason City through Buddy’s wide-eyed, sugar-fueled perspective.
All throughout the month of December until Christmas Eve, Buddy will be visiting our community and stopping at our various departments and locations by sharing the good deeds of our staff and the awesomeness of our community.
City staff believes this is a unique use to raise awareness of the various services provided by our different departments and partners. Buddy is met with positivity by our social media followers and serves as a fun way to highlight what we do for our community.
Posts will appear toward the end of each day, ending on Christmas Eve, recapping his daily adventures.
