Winnebago Historical Society Showcases “Spectacle of the Season” at Historic Thompson Home

The Winnebago Historical Society is inviting the public to experience one of North Iowa’s most festive holiday traditions this Sunday at the historic 1900 Bankers Home of Charlie Thompson in Forest City.
The 125-year-old home is filled with no fewer than 30 decorated Christmas trees, creating a striking seasonal display that highlights more than a century of Christmas traditions in the community. Guests can explore the beautifully adorned rooms while learning about the home’s history and its long-standing connection to Forest City.
The holiday open house runs each Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. now through Christmas, offering residents and visitors a chance to celebrate the season while supporting local history.
The Winnebago Historical Society encourages everyone to stop by, take in the decorations, and enjoy a unique glimpse into the past.
