Duncan Ballroom to Host Christmas Appreciation Night and Food Bank Fundraiser

The Duncan Ballroom will celebrate the season with its annual Christmas Appreciation Night on Saturday, December 13, offering an evening of family-friendly fun while supporting local food banks in Britt and Garner.

The event begins with Mass at St. Wenceslaus at 4:00 p.m., followed by the opening of the ballroom doors at 4:30 p.m. A meal will be served starting at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until the food is gone. Families can look forward to a visit from Santa Claus between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Live entertainment will keep the celebration lively throughout the night. Malek’s Fishermen Band, joined by special guest Jimmie C. Clark on fiddle and steel guitar, will perform alongside DJ Randy Formanek, with music running from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The evening is open to the public for a freewill offering, with all proceeds benefiting the Britt and Garner food banks. Donations will be matched through support from FCSLA. Food for the event is being provided by the Duncan Ballroom and St. Wenceslaus Parish Life.

Organizers say the night is both a celebration and a way to show appreciation to the community while helping stock local food banks for the holiday season.
