Doug Lloyd

Douglas Elmer Lloyd, 77, died December 3, 2025, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in
Mason City after a courageous battle with ALS. A memorial service will take place at a later
date.
Douglas Elmer was born December 8, 1948, in Forest City, Iowa, the son of Alpha and Merle
(Ludeke) Lloyd. He graduated from Britt High School and continued his education at the
University of Mankato.
On June 5, 1976, Doug was united in marriage to Charlotte Kuiper in Algona, Iowa. To this
union one daughter was born, Michal.
Doug owned and operated his business, Pro-Care Carpet Cleaning, for many years.
He loved exploring nature, camping, and archery. All who knew him well knew his love of tea
and the art of brewing it. He shared in a volunteer work where he encouraged people to look
into the Bible and learn about the benefits God’s Kingdom promises for the earth.
Doug is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lloyd, and his daughter, Michal Johnson (Luke Johnson
spouse); grandchildren, Neve and Ronan; brother Larry Lloyd, all of Britt, Iowa, and sister
Judy Mettler, of Owatonna, MN; along with other relatives and friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his parents Alpha and Merle Lloyd.
